Christmas wreaths are my reminder of home during the Holidays. The family wreath is the epitome of my family home and now living across the country, having a beautiful wreath hanging in my living room sends me right back home.

I love coming home, and hitting the wall of smell that fresh evergreens provide. No matter where I am, I have to have some small piece of real greenery. As a kid, my parents went to an artificial tabletop tree when my brothers and sister moved out. I just find that real greens make it actually feel like the holidays. A year ago, I took my first ER job in another state – even though I was alone for the holiday, my husband left me a little live tree when he went back home after moving me. This year we are all together again. I would love a real wreath for the door to welcome all of us home everyday!

how does it get any better than this? sacred geometry on my door, fresh picked greens from my beautiful friends the ever green trees, nature, nourishing, nurturing, regenerating for all those passerbys, all those who choose to stop and knock on my door, those who invite themselves to enter the welcoming door of my humble shanty by the sea…cacao & ever greens reflecting the circle of life in all realms. this is truly thriving sexualness~magic me. sexualness is nature, nurturing, regeneration. the magic is awareness, consciousness of the gift of life in each moment..me is being me as i truly be…all from a wreath on my door or wall (which i leave up for a long long time), a wreath of twigs, nature, messages of trees, mushrooms, cacao all make lovely teas….my beautiful friends surround me because of this wreath which i created by beautiful friends, harvested by beautiful friends, all of the trees, twigs, mushrooms, cacao are beautiful friends and on it goes…now, i ask you, what else is possible?

It just wouldn’t be Christmas without yards and yards of fresh roping. Small painted nails aren’t noticed on the inside top of the tray ceiling in the dining area. The hidden nails catch the roping and creates the dipping “scallops.” This room is central to the ranch condo so the scent and beauty is truly `tis the season.” After New Years, we cut and string it on outdoor benches and add pinecones rolled in peanut butter & bird seed!

This year is going to be different. I was divorced a few years ago and holidays have been very difficult. The kids spend the holidays with their grandmother so I’ve been alone on most of them. But, a couple years ago I met a wonderful man and we started dating this year. He has no family here, either. So, my goal is to make the holidays special for him and all our friends who live here with no family. We’re having an “Orphans Thanksgiving” and will do the same for Christmas. I’m actually excited to go cut down our tree and decorate this house! Thanks for the opportunity to win a beautiful wreath!
